FileConverter provides ten free browser tools for images, PDF pages, tables and text. Convert images to JPG, PNG or WebP; compress or resize them; create a PDF from images; merge, split, extract or rotate PDF pages; convert CSV, TSV and flat JSON tables; format JSON; or encode text as Base64 or URL components. Select a tool based on the result you need. Office documents, video, audio, HEIC, OCR and PDF-to-Word conversion are not available.
Choose a tool, add a file with the picker or drag and drop, adjust the output settings, then select Convert files and download the result. The conversion code runs in your browser and does not send selected files or entered conversion text to a conversion server. Results stay in page memory until downloaded. Refreshing or closing the page clears that state, so save your results first and retain your originals until you have checked them.
Choose JPG for photos when transparency is unnecessary. Choose PNG for lossless graphics, screenshots or transparent images. WebP supports transparency and lossy quality adjustment. Exporting to JPG fills transparent areas with white. Quality settings affect JPG and WebP, while PNG output ignores them. Re-encoding removes original metadata, and animated GIF input produces a still image from the first frame. Use resizing when your main goal is smaller dimensions rather than different encoding.
A batch supports up to 20 files, 50 MiB per file and 150 MiB in total. Image decoding is limited to 40 megapixels. PDF splitting and rotation take one input PDF at a time; splitting into individual files supports up to 500 outputs. Large decoded images and PDFs may need substantially more memory than their file size. Try fewer files if your device struggles. Current browser decoding and device memory determine whether a particular file can be processed.
The site loads Countbeam for website visit statistics, including page URL, title, referrer, browser language and screen size. The conversion application does not include selected files or entered conversion text in analytics events. The hosting provider also receives ordinary page requests. Language preference is stored locally. Read the privacy page for details.
Open the downloaded result and compare it with your original before relying on it. For images, inspect dimensions, transparency and visual quality. For PDFs, check page count, page order and orientation; interactive features and signatures may not be retained. For tables, check headers, row counts and data types: CSV and TSV values become JSON strings, and potential spreadsheet formulas receive an apostrophe prefix on export. Base64 is reversible encoding, so it does not protect secret information.
